Talofa Lava, Malo e lelei, Tena Koutou Katoa

St Mary MacKillop Catholic School came to life in 2000, after many years of dreaming and discussing to have a Catholic School here in Mangere.

I am proud to lead a school that truly embraces our purpose:

" To provide the pupils in our Catholic Community, education that is inclusive, rich in Gospel and St Mary MacKillop Values and leads to academic excellence."

Our children learn to belong and achieve through rich and varied learning experiences as we prepare them to be well-rounded learners and leaders of the future.  This is supported by many opportunities within and beyond the curriculum including education outside the classroom, school sports, cultural dance festival, dance, class trips, speech competitions and the hotly contested House Points Shield.

As a school community we value partnership. At St Mary MacKillop Catholic School you can expect to find a warm welcome.  We are proud of our staff who constantly challenge themselves to be the best they can be.  They are professional, talented, reflective and caring.  We are keen to provide a modern teaching and learning environment that supports our pupils to reach their potential.

We welcome the participation and contribution of our wider community which enhances many learning opportunities and sees our school facilities well utilized.  Our grounds are used after school for training by our Saturday Netball, Rugby and Softball Teams.  Our Whare caters for our after school care ‘Skids’ programme until 6.00pm each day.

We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you, your child and the family.

Welcome to St Mary MacKillop Catholic School

Yours in Christ,

Glen Ryan
